Annual ELIS Inset Day: A Focus on Quality
On Thursday, 20th February 2025, ELIS Villamartín and ELIS Murcia came together for our Annual INSET Day, dedicated to a key theme: ‘Quality.’ This annual event is an important opportunity for our entire team to come together for training, reflection and collaboration, ensuring that we continue to provide the highest standard of education, care and services to our school communities.
The day featured tailored sessions for different staff groups, including teaching staff, administrative teams, and kitchen and cleaning staff, all designed to reinforce the concept of quality in every aspect of our school life.
We were honoured to have Diane Monk, Cognita’s Head of Parent Experience, lead engaging and thought-provoking sessions. Diane’s expertise in customer experience allowed our teaching and administrative staff to gain deeper insights into how we can create a welcoming and supportive environment for our students and families. Her session on ‘Unreasonable Hospitality’ sparked meaningful discussions on how to go above and beyond in delivering an exceptional experience for everyone who interacts with our school community. We are incredibly grateful to Diane for her leadership and commitment to enhancing the educational experience at ELIS.
In addition to Diane, we also welcomed Imma Prat, Cognita Spain & Italy’s Head of Marketing & Admissions. Imma shared her extensive knowledge on customer experience, guiding our staff through practical, hands-on sessions to understand how we can improve communication, trust and engagement with both current and prospective families. Imma’s contribution was invaluable in helping us refine our approach to delivering the highest level of service at every touchpoint.
For our kitchen and cleaning teams, we were delighted to host Pablo Martínez, a renowned chef from Restaurante Eszencia, who delivered an inspiring and motivational talk. His insights will undoubtedly help our kitchen staff continue to provide delicious and nutritious meals for our students, contributing to the overall wellbeing of our school community.
The day was not only a chance to focus on professional development but also an opportunity for our staff to reconnect with the core values that drive our work at ELIS. We are deeply grateful to Diane, Imma, and Pablo for their time and expertise, and we also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our staff who participated. Their enthusiasm, commitment and passion for our school community were evident throughout the day and we are excited to implement the valuable ideas and strategies shared.
By investing in the quality of our staff’s development, we are ensuring that our students receive the best possible educational experience. We remain committed to creating a supportive and inspiring environment where both our students and staff can thrive.
