The El Valle and Carrascoy Regional Park once again provided the spectacular setting for a new edition of ELIS El Valle Trail, one of the most iconic sporting events on Murcia’s calendar, taking place this year as ELIS Murcia celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Participation stood out for its strong local presence, with around 80% of runners from Murcia, although the race also attracted athletes from other Spanish regions and international participants from countries such as Germany and Norway. During the morning, the event was attended by Miguel Ángel Noguera, Murcia City Council’s Sports Councillor, who took part in the medal ceremony for the runners.

The day also had a strong family focus. At ELIS Murcia’s Montevida campus, the KIDS race allowed the youngest participants to try trail running on a specially adapted course. In addition, children enjoyed a range of free workshops and activities, including face painting, archery, team games, cotton candy and giant bubbles.

The festive atmosphere continued throughout the morning with the participation of families, runners and volunteers, culminating in a communal meal where attendees enjoyed giant paellas and migas.

Organised with the support of numerous Murcian companies and institutions, the race once again demonstrated how sport, nature and community can come together to create a unique experience, highlighting the natural surroundings of El Valle and Carrascoy and reinforcing ELIS Murcia’s commitment to healthy living and sport.
