Once again, the ELIS Murcia community has shown its strong commitment to solidarity by supporting Cáritas Región de Murcia in its Christmas toy collection campaign, part of the Toy Workshop Project.

Thanks to the generosity of pupils, families and staff, a large number of pre-loved toys — including soft toys, board games, books and dolls — have been donated and will now be given a second life, bringing joy to more than 2,300 children and young people in vulnerable situations across the Region of Murcia.

All donated toys have been delivered to Cáritas’ Toy Workshop in Alcantarilla, where they are cleaned, restored and carefully prepared by women taking part in employability and social inclusion programmes. The toys are then organised into personalised gift packs and distributed through Cáritas’ parish network.

Beyond its social impact, the initiative also promotes important values such as sustainability, responsible consumption and empathy, reinforcing the school’s role as an educational community actively engaged with society.

At ELIS Murcia, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful community for their continued support and generosity year after year, helping to make Christmas a little brighter for so many children and families.
