A new generation of graduates makes history at ELIS Murcia
Last Friday, we celebrated the Year 13 graduation ceremony at the Montevida campus theatre, in a particularly significant occasion for the whole ELIS Murcia community. This year marked a new milestone for the school, with the largest cohort to date: a total of 79 students completing their school journey before continuing on to universities in Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and other international destinations.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from María Dios Zetterlind, Deputy Head of the school, followed by speeches from Vanessa Grimward, Executive Principal of the ELIS schools, Lealand Pearce, Head of Upper School, and Toni Marín, Technical Director. Representatives of the Student Council also took part, sharing messages of gratitude and reflections on their time at the school.
The event also featured a musical performance by the School of Music, which added a particularly moving moment to the celebration. Throughout the ceremony, emphasis was placed not only on the students’ academic journey, but also on their personal growth and the values they have developed during their time at ELIS Murcia.
This was followed by the traditional awarding of caps and gowns, symbolising the end of one chapter and the beginning of new opportunities and challenges.
After the ceremony, students, families and staff gathered for a reception in an atmosphere of celebration, emotion and pride, sharing memories and experiences from across the years.
At ELIS Murcia, we warmly congratulate the Class of 2026 on all they have achieved. You are now part of our Alumni community, and we look forward to continuing to follow your journey. ELIS Murcia will always be your home and will welcome you with open arms.
